My name is Alannah Curtis I am the Founder of DDF Dance Studio set 2008

I am Also the Principle and Head choreographer. Below their is more information about me.

DDF offers a safe learning environment Exculsive to all male and female of all ages. We have just male classes but we also offer mixed gender classes. ( because majority of our dancers are female and we want our male dancers to feel comfortable and safe to enjoy dance with everyone so we have options ) 

We really care about our students and their development, my specialty is developing students. I am very passionate to cater to each student individually as every one learns different and are unique individuals.

DDF offers a Learning 10 week workshop followed by a Dance Concert for all ages male and female to participate and grow their skills as a dancer and performer, my job is to teach a 8 count, grooves and move each student from Beg, int to advance Levels.

Over the 10 week workshop you will learn 3 dance routines with performance skills possible use of props, formations, spacial awareness, musically, dance language and much more.

DDF offers a variety of Dance styles but our main cliental wants are for Urban Hip Hop.

DDF also offer Lyrical, JazzFunk, Femme Fusion, Contemporary and our adult classes are Heels, Burlesque, Hip Hop.

Our Exercise classes we offer that incorporate dance are our Mums & Bubs Class and Dancefit.

We are looking at starting a parent and kids dance together dance class.

We have classes for all ages male and female. We cater for Beginner, intermediate and advance levels of dance. DDF offers classes to people who have never danced before to those who have had experience and advance skills. We have a class for everyone. 

 

DDF has a Diva Academy which is our development team, which means this is a group that wants to develop quicker and have the opportunity to compete at competition and perform throughout the year at community events - cheak our crews page for more information. This particular group involves more commitment and parent support but if you are interested please feel free to talk to Alannah about this. 

 

I ( Alannah ) started teaching 16years ago when I was 14 years old for The Hardcore Dance Company run by Annalise Morris ( Whangarei ).I have been running DDF Dance for 11years and have held four dance concerts every year since 2008. I have been creating and choreographing for dance crews since 2008. I have performed and taught internationally and Nationally. I have done many upskilling workshops with big idols and choreographers such as "PARRIS GOEBEL" "KEONE & MARI" "CHA CHI" "MIKE SONG" and so much more. I just recently went to Asia Camp Thailand Phuket 2016/2017 and touched hands with all the top choreographers from all over the world "Hollywood, Lando, Lyle, Ian Eastwood, Brian Puspos, Ria Hata, Jahn Haa and many more. I also just recently stared and danced in Duc Ahn Trans youtube Video while I was at Asia Camp which was hosted by Di Moon Zhang (IAMME CREW). I have in the last two years been to LA to all the top Studios Melenium, Playground, Movement Lifestyle, Immabeast. And touch hands with amazing mentors, choreographers and dancers.

 

 I have a NCEA Level 4 "Maori Contemporary Performing arts" AUT. Starred on a "13part series" television program on "Maori Televission TE MIKA SHOW" , Opened with Vice Versa for "TECH N9NE",also DDF crews have opened for "ANNIE CRUMMER" "TITANIUM" "PITER T" "GINNY BLACKMORE" "TROY KINGI" "MYA" and much more

 

I am a tutor that is very involed in my students classes and like to have my students best interests at heart, by learning each students and classes capabilities and working to their skills individually. 

 

DDF dance is about creating opportunies for our community and creating pathways. And most importantly encouraging students to follow their dreams and to beleive in themsleves.

 

We take dance crews evey year HHI Dance competiton,and recently started to compete last Battles Grounds -Leads to World Supremacy battle Grounds and Battle in the Bay.

We perform throughout the communities all the time parades, bfree day, local communtie events, busking and much more. We are available to hire for performances/entertainment and tutor hire. I work in schools, kindys, daycares and much more.
